M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story opened with fireworks on September 30, garnering big numbers on the first day of its release.
The Sushant Singh starrer film released in 3500 screens across India and emerged the second highest opening day grosser of 2016. On Friday, the biopic on India’s star batsman minted Rs. 21.30 crores beating Rustom, Fan, Airlift and Housefull 3.
M.S. Dhoni is screened in 60 countries over 4,500 screens making it the widest release for an Indian film. With crowds and critics unanimously giving their thumbs up, the film is slated to cross 50 crore in its first weekend and even expected to touch the 100 crore mark quickly making it the biggest Sushant Singh Rajput film yet. M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story has managed to beat Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom’ on its first day.
